(May 29, 2025) Welcome Home Westchester, a multistakeholder advocacy effort working to drive a new public conversation around fixing the County’s housing shortage, is pleased to welcome The Scarsdale Congregational Church UCC to its Policy Advisory Committee (PAC).

The Church’s leadership offered a statement on joining Welcome Home Westchester: “The Scarsdale Congregational Church UCC is excited to announce that we are formally joining the Welcome Home Westchester coalition as a Policy Advisory Committee member. This partnership is inspired by our commitment to address the housing affordability crisis in Westchester, and by our faith, which calls us to respond to the needs of ALL our neighbors.”

The Reverend Dr. Kelly Hough Rogers, senior minister at The Scarsdale Congregational Church UCC, has worked closely with Welcome Home Westchester in our efforts to advocate for the New York State Faith-Based Affordable Housing Act. Most recently, she emceed Welcome Home Westchester/Faith-Based Affordable Housing Act Coalition’s Faith Walk at Mt. Hope AME Zion Church in White Plains.

We look forward to our continued partnership with The Scarsdale Congregational Church UCC and all Policy Advisory Committee members to bring a diverse range of voices and perspectives from across the county to inform Welcome Home Westchester’s educational materials, public presentations and advocacy efforts at the local, county and state levels.
