Join Welcome Home Westchester partner organization Regional Plan Association, along with the Mercatus Center, for a webinar on “Streamlining Housing in New York,” on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 12-1 p.m.
The panel will discuss how Albany can make it easier, faster, and more predictable to build housing. RPA will present updated research examining where housing production is and isn’t occurring across the region and what decades of residential permitting data reveal about the policy choices shaping growth.
Together, the presentations will move from what the data tells us about New York’s housing production challenges to practical reforms that could help unlock more homes. The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion amongst the authors and an open Q&A with attendees.
